Real Madrid
president Florentino Perez has ruled out a January move for David de Gea
and hinted that he expects the goalkeeper to sign a new deal at
Manchester United.
De
Gea has not started any of the club's six matches this season and was
set for a move to Madrid, only for it to dramatically collapse on
deadline day.
When
an offer was finally made and accepted, paperwork was not filed in time
to complete the move - and the club's chief has now ruled out making
another bid when the transfer window reopens.
